Oaks are In

The 10th Perthshire Scouts planted a whole bunch of Oak seedlings on the back slopes of St Magdalene’s Hill in June.  The seedlings were some of the dozens donated this year by the McCash family of Viewfield, Perth – adding to the dozens already donated.

Each tree has the chance of living for 800 years and they will help to keep balance in the woods, which would otherwise be swamped with beech and sycamore.

The parent trees are the Oak street trees of Viewlands – if you have a picture of any of them please post it as a comment – we’d love to see it.
