Strimmer training at Loon Braes with the Blairgowrie and Rattray Access Network

On 4th November 7 members of the Blairgowrie and Rattray Access Network attended a training session on the safe use strimmers for maintaining the paths network in that area.

In this picture four blokes stand around whilst one woman wields the powertools, but believe me, it wasn’t like that at all.

Chic Nicol, a chargehand Perth & Kinross Council, provided practical hands on training for Blairgowrie  volunteers intent on maintaining their own paths.  A really useful morning and a step in the right direction for this relatively new paths group.

Would your group be interested in doing something similar?
