Imaginative & Adventurous Plans for St Fillans

Community Greenspace are working with St Fillans Community Trust Ltd who have great plans for a new imaginative and adventurous woodland play area between Shoemaker Lane and the new Three Saints Way.

St Fillans, next to Loch Earn, is a beautiful place to stop off on a journey and the hope is that locals and visitors will love the new play area.

The aim is to provide a safe and enclosed space for creative and physical play for the growing numbers of local and visiting children. St Fillans is a beautiful, small village steeped in history, situated in the National Park of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

The hope is to create a community space that makes use of the natural landscape to enable children to explore, play and learn outdoors in a safe environment thereby promoting their health and wellbeing.

The development plan for St Fillans, devised by the community, with the help of the National Parks, identified play facilities as a priority. As such the community trust established a play park group who hope to fund this new play area through a variety of small grants and a contribution from Perth & Kinross Council.
