Update from Kinross Potager Garden

The Potager garden in Bowton Road in Kinross is 20 years old this year and was set up by Kinross in Bloom with help from the Beechgrove garden Hit Squad.

It is run by a small group of volunteers, as a community garden and to teach the P5 class from Kinross Primary School about gardening and the environment, they also get to grow some vegetables, returning in the autumn for a harvesting and tasting session.

The Potager Garden is self funding through plant sales and other fundraising, such as Christmas wreath workshops. Volunteer sessions are on Monday mornings from 10.30 to 12.30 to which all are welcome, with advice available and also plant sales.

The garden is open to visitors during the day in the summer months, though children should always be accompanied.  Please do not touch or taste the plants!

On Saturday 4th June there will be a coffee morning in aid of Marie Curie Cancer care with a plant sale, raffle, sale of Phoenix cards and music from the Queich recorder ensemble.
