We’d like to say a huge thank you and very well done to primary 5, and primary 6 pupils from Morrison’s Academy Crieff.

Pupils attended MacRosty Park in Crieff for one and a half hours each week, for around 10 weeks, volunteering as part of a JASS Award (Junior Award Scheme Schools).

During this time they made a massive contribution to maintaining MacRosty Park to a high standard, helping the park look fantastic in the run up to being judged for the 2016 Green Flag Award.

During their time at the park they had to endure torrential rain and extreme heat, despite this they continued to work hard.

The pupils worked well together and were a joy to have helping out in the park. On numerous occasions’ people passing by commented on the good job that they were doing.

The work they done consisted of, weeding flower beds, removing encroaching vegetation from footpaths, removal weeds from paved areas and steps, edging around flower beds and paved areas, planning new shrubs, and laying bark to help supress weeds.
