A Good Read from Scottish Natural Heritage

I am always delighted with the Scottish Natural Heritage magazine drops through my letterbox… with great photos, inspiring stories and good suggestions for projects and funding… it is always an interesting read.  The Autumn / Winter 2016 edition includes articles on (or from)…

  • Cairngorms Connect – A new partnership of land managers from private, charity and public sectors within the Cairngorms National Park has been formed.
  • Glen Feshie – Dr Patricia Macdonald, researcher in cultural landscape at the University of Edinburgh, looks at environmental change in a dynamic Cairngorms landscape.
  • Scottish Wildcat Action – Cat-tastic pioneering work aimed at saving the iconic Scottish wildcat, employing almost 150 volunteers and 347 trail cameras, has so far identified at least 19 wildcats based on coat markings.
  • and the Retirement of Ewen Cameron – tribute to Ewen’s four decades working with Scottish Natural Heritage and its forerunners.
