Urban Nature with SNH

Just discovered this great new video from Scottish Natural Heritage covering many aspects of Urban Nature.

Although the video footage is mostly confined to the Central Belt, it gives a great overview of the work that SNH do throughout Scotland, to the benefit of people and our environment.  It also includes a mention of the partnership work they do with Paths For All and SUSTRANS, who are a perhaps the biggest funding sources for many of the paths throughout the Perth & Kinross area.

Highlights of the video are:

The Seven Lochs wetland park in the Clyde Valley
Ramblers Scotland Medal Routes
The far ranging work of The Conservation Volunteers
The invertebrate conservation Buglife
The John Muir Pollinator Way
The Green Infrastructure Strategic Intervention Project

The video is about 10 minutes long, but well worth a look.

My Colleagues Dave Stubbs and Ros Mills attended the launch for the video at the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday evening, featuring a very positive key note address from MSP Roseanna Cunningham, both Dave and Ros were inspired by the variety of work taking place.  If you have any ideas for projects of this nature, please get in touch.
