Coupar Angus Community Gardens

The Community Gardens in Coupar Angus are thriving in the sunshine as the Spring begins.  The snowdrops are out, the daffs are up and the blossom is being to bloom…

2017 sees lots of changes afoot – we have already began work in and about the gardens as we prepare for the season… big thanks to all who have helped, build new beds, make a greenhouse, construct watering systems, host the Spring event with a smoothie cycle and to the wonderful group of volunteers who have continued to come to the winter “Go Grow” sessions in the Y (taught by the wonderful Sue Ferguson – local grower/gardener extraordinaire).

On March the 11th we’ll be hosting a garden swap event at the cross in the town as part of Coupar Angus Up-cycling day – Our invitation is to bring down on the day any plants, seeds, tools or treasures from your garden that you might want to swap out or pass on!  A great opportunity to go through the garden shed, have sort and clear out in time for Spring.. we will have a table out – where people can swap, donate or pick up items.

There’ll be lots going on in and about the Cross that day with events planned including a clothes swap, a Men’s Shed – showcasing up-cycling with wood, a cycle event and bric a brac stall – lots to come, see, swap and get involved in….  We also have LOTS happening in the gardens in March – details below of all the events to come but we encourage you to come along, get involved and get growing….
